The mission of this organization is to stimulate and sustain interest among both parents and students in the school’s choral program. The members are parents of Hartford area choir students who are interested in the progress and development of the Choir Music Department at HUHS. Meetings are held monthly during the school year commencing on the first Thursday of each month of the school year (with the exception of November and June), starting at 6:30 pm in the choir room (Room #146). Meetings typically run no more than 45 minutes.
What we do? We provide yearly scholarships for both choral camps and seniors embarking on higher education, in addition to helping with student travel costs during trip years.
-
Fundraisers Our largest fundraiser, Cabaret Night, in in the Spring in the small gym. This is an evening filled with hors d’oeuvres and entertainment by the choral students in a relaxed, cabaret-style setting.
-
Student Account Balances will be posted in the choir room and updated after each fundraising event or dispersal of funds for purchases such as spirit wear and trip payments. Funds in these accounts can be used to defray trip costs, solo ensemble entry fees, and spirit wear purchases. Any remaining funds upon graduation will be left to a sibling who is currently involved or plans to participate in the HUHS choir program in the future. If no siblings remain or plan to become part of the choral program, the account balance will be transferred to the Choir Music Parent’s General Account, which is used for the future trips or general needs of the choir music program.

“You have a responsibility to make our world a better place through music. We cheer the hearts and very souls of the people we share our music with. Never underestimate the power you have in your voice.”
