About The Club
DECA is a marketing-based business club where students have the opportunity to compete and build a professional resume. Students that choose to compete will have a plethora of topics to pick from including Entrepreneurship, Marking, Hospitality, Business Law, Automotive Sales, Restaurant Management, and Fiance. Through competition, students will complete a case study role-play and a standard-based test. These scores are then averaged together. As a chapter, we strive to prepare all students for competition through practice and demonstration. Last year our chapter successfully qualified the right students for State and five of those qualified for Internationals! All of which were first-year members!
The best part of DECA is that even if you don't compete you will have the opportunity to build your professional resume. In this club, you will develop your critical thinking, test-taking, public speaking, and creative thinking. All the skills you will need to be a successful college student or professional. But wait there's more! In DECA you will join an alumni network with tens of thousands of ex-students and professionals with the opportunity to network and build rapport with them. This will be accomplished through community service and networking events!
