Boys Cross Country - About our Program

Welcome to the Hartford Union Boys Cross Country team.  Cross country is a sport for everyone. You don’t need to have any special skills to participate. All you need is a desire to compete with a great group of boys, practice 5-6 days a week, and run!  Every athlete will run every meet, as a varsity or JV runner. 

In Cross Country we emphasize teamwork, a good diet, working together in races, running strategies, and last but not least, having fun!
 

If you want to have a great chance of going to a state tournament, Cross Country is for you!

Camps/Training Opportunities

Summer Running Club
The Summer Running club is open to all boys and girls who want to run in a group setting. All ages and skill levels are welcome. We will run long runs, short intervals, hills and anything in between! We start practice at 8:30 a.m. and end about 10:00 am, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The running club runs thru August 10, 2023. We ask that the runner bring something to hydrate, water, Gatorade etc.

Summer Cross Country Camp
Monday, July 28 – July 31, 2025 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
The camp is open to all middle school or high school students. The cost for the 4-day camp is $20. All proceeds go the Hartford Boys XC program. More details can be found on the XC camp sign up form here. Please download and send to the address shown on the form.
